The program has been designed as general program for security hybrid platforms running simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same look and functionality on the local and apart workstations. Users watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete management of the software through network that surveillance server can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure considerably increases reliability because all units operate as independent applications. If one module fails, other units keep on running. For example if the `capture` module fails, `watchdog` starts again it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` module. The software does `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be activated by movement, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance server as well as on distant server using Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
